If you have concerns talk with Tim Kitchen: · There was a discussion to have more meat and potatoes in the dining room, along with salads, brats etc. No more soup and sandwiches – Soup will still be available to purchase from the kitchen Activities: · Christmas with the Board will be on Saturday the 8th · Forever Young Choir will be here on Tuesday the 11th · In January we will be hosting the ADRC program Walk with Ease Sign up with the ADRC Other: · Thank you to all of our volunteers! New Business: 1. The kitchen will now be closed on Independence Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas. Please plan accordingly. 2. There is a lot of activities in December, please watch the calendar!! 3. Would you like to have the annual Pizza Party on December 31st?Mark made a motion to have a party and Beth to order the “best” deal for pizzas – Carol seconded. Passed unanimously. 4. The survey results for annual charitable giving are: Arlene made a motion to pay Bolton House, Sjourner House, & St. Francis Food Pantry each $100.00, Corky seconded the motion. The motion passed. There was discussion on how to handle the survey next year – this will be revisited in 2017. There was discussion on paying only $75 to the places in need, but the motion passed to pay $100.00. 5. Don’t forget starting January 1st 2017 meals increase to $6.75 per meal. 6. Strong Bones with ADRC will be here in January 2017 – Watch for more info 7. Do not smoke on grounds. 8. On January 1st, 2017 the meal cost will be $6.75 New Business: 1. When filling out weekly meal slip, if you do not mark for diabetic or fruit only you will be given the dessert of the day. If you mark fruit or diabetic that is what is planned for in the kitchen. If you decide to change your choice you must do for by lunch the day before, and the request may be granted based on if the kitchen has enough dessert for the original requests. 2. Please make sure to turn back in your meal slips by Thursday. 3. No Saving Seats in the lunch room, sit only where there seats 4. The table upstairs is for free items, these items should be left on the table for no more than 5 days. After that please discard the items. When using the table for cards or dominos please move the items off the table and then put back on table. 5. Make sure bingo items are not expired, half eaten, or inappropriate for others. 6. Please be respectful to neighbors, staff, and visitors. 7. If you have concerns please bring them to Beth, I will do my best to address them or to get help from others. 8. When Tim and Jon do spring/fall maintenance they check the dryer vents from the outside. If you feel that your dryer is not running properly please talk to Tim and he will check the vent other times during the year. 3. With severe weather season starting, if there is a tornado, Bertelsen Hall is the safest place to gather. If you cannot meet in Bertelsen Hall – please go to a lower stairwell away from windows or the basement garage under the office. 4. Make sure you are double bagging your garbage, and if you have assistance please make sure they are double bagging. Stains are very hard to remove. This is in our policies, please follow this policy. 5. I contacted the city regarding the tornado alarm – I am awaiting a phone call back. They recommend purchasing weather radios J 6. Do not shout or be rude to them. If you feel they are breaking a policy please talk to Beth in the office. 4. Please make sure that you are throwing your recyclable in the right containers. If you are unsure, just throw everything away. Do not just leave it there for someone else to do it. 5. After card games please push chairs in for safety reasons. 6.
